I am not of this world and everything in it seems so different. I see you from the top of the building next door. You are about to get into the elevator. I can see through walls and hear from very far distances. I am amazed at how your heart is racing. So unexpected is the flutter of your beating heart. Why are you afraid?

Perhaps it's time to grant their plea. He closes his office and walks to the elevator. "Good evening, Artemis." The man in a black jacket greets him. Artemis smiles at the stranger. "Do I know you?" The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. He must get into his car before his sight totally leaves him. He must warn his family. Her eyes seem to be possessed with something, as the sun's rays reflect off the glassy surface, ashamed to be in her presence. A tinge of rose-inflicted water swirls in her eyes and blurs my vision, but her aura is somehow sweet. Like candy, her addictive smile lure all who see her, and her layered personality is timid, shy, and delicate. But don't be fooled, once she warms up, she is chirpy, and cheerful. What does that description make you think of? An angel in a mortal's soul? A mere dream? I grew up with her, and she was the equivalent of something that even heaven couldn't conjure. But life is a deceiving creature. A lie. Because whilst her body portrays a perfect, shameless, care-free girl, her soul is slowly dying. When I realized that she'd be enrolling at Yuko High, my blood levels spiked. However, it turns out that the girl I thought I knew was long gone. People change, and nothing stays the same. And in that time, I've changed a bit myself. One thing I do know is that she isn't happy. But I happen to have just the solution for that...
