What if Mipha was rescued from Ruta and used her last ounce of strength to heal a dying Link at the Shrine of Resurrection, then was placed in the shrine instead? When Mipha awakens 100 years later with no memory, she must play the role of hero until she can free Link and Zelda.

This story is loosely based on a plot by Peregrine of the Zelda BOTW Modding Discord channel, who is actively developing a game mod called Mipha's Grace expected to be released in 2025. I would like to thank Peregrine for the idea.

In an AU, on the day of the Great Calamity, Mipha put her love for Link and concern for Zelda ahead of Daruk's plan to rush to her Divine Beast. Zelink AU Medieval Fanfiction Zelda, currently Princess of Hyrule wishes to see the world outside of the castle. Her father expects her to marry one of the chosen suitors to prepare Hyrule's next King, but she doesn't like the sight of any of them. Link is a Hylian knight with a tragic past. Being secretive and closed off is how he prefers to live. He has a quest he believes he must do alone-to find his older sister. But Hyrule is subject to an unknown danger, within itself. How will the mystery unfold and how will Zelda and Link achieve their dreams? I don't think I'm super great at medieval writing...(knowing the time period, vocabulary, descriptions, etc...) but I tried anyways! Sorry for the unappetizing description. But I think I write stories better than I write summaries I promise haha... ~Clean and appropriate for most ages~ There will be some minor blood and other descriptions that may be disturbing for young people. I'd say 12+? Cover art does not belong to me, I don't know who it belongs to. If it's yours and you want it taken down, let me know and I'll do that. No swearing in comments or anything inappropriate please. That being said I would love some constructive criticisms because I want to become a better writer. All rights belong to Nintendo. The rights of the plot go to me, and please don't post anything I write anywhere else. Highest rating #10 Zelink 4/13/20 COMPLETED** DECEMBER 30, 2023

16 parts Complete

[Original Description] Link has finally returned to Hyrule after being forced by the Hyrule goddesses to sit aside for seven years so that time itself can continue to flow smoothly. And naturally everyone is excited over the return of the Hero of Time, especially Princess Zelda. When Link tells Zelda of his journeys through other lands, one of those tales becomes all too real for the princess. What is it? Only one way to find out! To reiterate, this story isn't mine. It was written by someone going by the name "Grey" on VGGTS World all the way back in 2005 while the site was still active. While I don't possess ownership of this work and all credit goes to the original creator, I decided to upload it here because I wanted more people to read it, as i don't think too many people did untill now, which is a shame because I personally found it pretty good. If there's a need for this to be taken down, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to comply.
