Through the reveal of Remus, things between the sides have changed. Logan's advice to Thomas has been taken up by Virgil, talking to Patton and learning to grow as a side. Janus Owens would do absolutely anything in his power for his little brother Virgil. The chances of a sixteen-year-old getting adopted weren't very large, when you throw in Janus's medical history, and the fact that he and Virgil are pretty much a package deal, the chances came down to pretty much zero. Virgil however... Sweet, kind, nine-year-old Virgil didn't suffer from any visible health issues (not like Janus who was all but covered in burn scars). Now he still had a chance. And the agency was more than aware of that. So when a great opportunity comes along that might just end with at least one of the Owen's brothers finding a home Janus is presented with their 'wonderful' and 'brilliant' decision that would in the end 'be better for everyone'. Virgil and Janus would be separated. Virgil would go on to be fostered by a family who was looking to adopt and Janus would remain in foster care until he too found a family (unlikely) or until he aged out. And after being presented with all of the information, and being assured he'd still be able to visit him he agreed. Oh what a mistake that turned out to be.

Janus 'Deceit' Sanders and Remus 'Duke' Sanders have been bestfriends since the split, though Janus acted as the responsible, adult one despite being the same age. Remus had always been vocal about his feelings until Virgil left, calling him too emotional. Janus had always been the one to lock his feelings and emotions away never really showing them. He did this ever since he was a child, wanting to show little weakness and to be strong for the others. These both came with major consequences, Remus often found it difficult to voice his feelings out without getting mad at himself or someone else for how he was feeling. Janus had to find other ways to cope with his feelings, mostly unhealthy. But what happens when these two dorks fall for each other? I'll tell you, mutual pinning and miscommunication, with tons of angst with some hurt/comfort fluff.
