2038. pretoria. City of the past and the future. The existing proof of success and rebirth that humanity managed to create. The city of pretoria has brought America to one of its greatest point in history with the invention of intellectual beings that surpass human intelligence; androids. The primary workforce, including maids, waitresses, construction workers, and soldiers have been replaced by machines. Purchasable androids stand on stores with a price tag of less than a single car. But the great development came with consequences. A 37% unemployment rate as well as a massive social class gap between the riches and the poor. A city relying so much on the existence of androids yet having the poorer population against their entire existence. And the rising of some machines named 'Deviants', disobeying their code and choosing to have free will.

The year is 2063. Technology in the 21st century has progressed beyond what anyone has ever dreamt of. Artificial intelligence has become an integral facet of everyday life, from transportation, business, and even in the world of medicine where many pay top dollar to have their organic forms cybernetically enhanced with technology and A.I. for life longevity. But at the same time, this technology is used to create synthetic android weapons of war. Among those weapons, a former Nation's Army combat android by the designation of AX-15. After being critically incapacitated in action, AX-15 was rendered unfit for service and was practically thrown out onto the streets. However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". Axis, with programmed loyalty to the mercenary and to the contract, suddenly has a glitch in his programming after an unexpected development during a mark which causes him to break from his prime directives and ignite a part of himself that Axis didn't know had existed.

Outbreaks of Deviancy within the everyday android are turning this town rampant; and is turning the police department into a war zone. A hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant, and his android, RK800 companion are no longer able to keep up with the cases by themselves, and request an additional partner. Everyone in the police department are already over loaded, so CyberLife creates a in-the-works android, developed by Elijah Kamski to investigate, analyze, and problem solve. And it's name is "Sean." A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. Sean's primary directive is to serve, and assist these two in their investigations, but something deep inside of him has other plans. As Sean breaks from what he was made to do, he has to really find out what he is made of, and what he is going to do with it. ----- DISCLAMER: I highly recommend watching, or playing Detroit: Become Human before reading. The future of civilisation has never looked brighter, but in March 2050, a ginormous army of 500,000 people has appeared out of a huge ball of electricity, the size of Manhattan and their leader, General Hunter Padlock, speaks of a world where there are only 1 billion humans left, a world where humanity has fought a 40 year long war with malevolent machines, intent on butchering all humans, a world where humankind is suffering from starvation, desperation, panic and despair.
