A story of how country is made and the aftermath of the founding for the country.

The partition of India in 1947 was the division of British India[b] into two independent states, India and Pakistan.[3] The Union of India is today the Republic of India and Dominion of Pakistan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The partition involved the division of two provinces, Bengal and the Punjab, based on district-wise Hindu or Muslim majorities. It also involved the division of the British Indian Army, the Royal Indian Navy, the Indian Civil Service, the railways, and the central treasury, between the two new dominions. The partition was set forth in the Indian Independence Act 1947 and resulted in the dissolution of the British Raj, or Crown rule in India. The two self-governing countries of India and Pakistan legally came into existence at midnight on 14-15 August 1947.

The partition displaced between 10-12 million people along religious lines, creating overwhelming refugee crises in the newly constituted dominions; there was large-scale violence, with estimates of loss of life accompanying or preceding the partition disputed and varying between several hundred thousand and two million.[1][c] The violent nature of the partition created an atmosphere of hostility and suspicion between India and Pakistan that plagues their relationship to the present.

Ihsan stood there looking at his father with pleading look. His father looked flabbergasted seeing his ever so calm son erupting like a volcano. " All I did was loving a girl. Nothing more nothing less." Ihsan said looking at his father. " But she is a Pakistani." Yelled Aadil Owaisi. " Toh kya hua? I love her Abbu. You wouldn't have said this if she is an Indian." Ihsan said angrily disagreeing with his father. " But Ihsan, my child! They're our enemies." Aadil tried to mislead his son. " All that shit is said and done by the politicians Abbu. Ohhhh! I forgot. You are a politician too. It's nothing new coming such words from you. Just because of people like you, we, the people of both the countries have to bear the consequences." Ihsan spatted at his father angrily. " IHSAN......" Aadil yelled on the top of his lungs. " He is not wrong Abbu!" Zain said with glassy eyes. Aadil looked away from Zain as the guilt started eating him up. " Then why did you reject the proposal come from that girl? She said she liked you. She is a Pakistani too." Aadil glared at his second son. " It's because I don't like her. Uski shakal tak nahi dheka tha main." Ihsan reasoned. " Kuch bhi ho Ihsan! By the way what's her back ground?" Aadil asked narrowing his eyes. Ihsan and Zain scoffed angrily seeing their after always prying on other's background. " Her father is a retired Major from Pak Army." Ihsan said breathing shallowly. A shiver ran down from everyone's spine when he mentioned about Pak Army. That riled Aadil to the peaks. " Wah bhai wah! Ek beta Fauji se pyar karke baita aur dusra beta Fauji ki beti se. Duniya main koi mulk ki ladkiyan nahi mila kya?" Aadil yelled. Dua's eyes filled with tears seeing the whole argument. It's like her old wounds are again opened fresh. This is not to offer any of the countries.

"So you approached me without being aware of my identity?" He asks me, while raising an eyebrow. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. It takes me a while to compose myself and form a sensible reply. "Yes, I wasn't aware of your identity." "You might think you can fool me, but trust me, this has happened quite a few times before as well." He says with a very serious expression. I'm baffled by his accusation. This man has the audacity to question my intentions when he's the one trying to converse with me all along. I don't know what comes over me, but whenever I'm overwhelmed with anger, it turns into tears. And before I can compose myself, I taste the salty tears in my mouth. I take a few deep breaths, place the cup on the side table and get up to leave. "Thank you for your hospitality and your excellent assessment of my character. I will now take your leave." With that, I turn to head towards the door but he grabs my hand and pulls me towards him. Characters: Ameerah is a happy-go-lucky 23 year old who has recently graduated from med school.
