When Charlie Bruchs and his mom move from their apartment in Nevada all the way to an Victorian style house in New Jersey after a sports accident that places Charlie on the bench, Charlie isn't very happy about it. Honestly though, he wasn't happy before they moved either, but now he's unhappy somewhere unfamiliar rather than at home. 

As they move in to their new house and get to know some of the neighbors, things start getting strange. Why does the lady two streets down bring her dogs everywhere? Why won't this cat stop following him around? Who is this strange man in their kitchen?

Things only get worse as Charlie starts to make friends, working harder to cover his chest and his past. He's not a girl anymore, he never was. They can't know. Especially not Caleb.
