The Jupiter Imperia is ecstatic for the wedding of the century, but there are plenty of people who see nothing to celebrate. When Erik and his partner Mirabi arrive to investigate, they find old friends, political tensions, dangerous rebels, assassins, old enemies determined to settle ancient scores and others with mysterious agendas of their own that could literally change the universe. Cut off from their usual support network with the Chronological Operations Agency, Erik and Mirabi have nothing but their wits to keep the prince alive long enough to get to the altar.
