All her life, Cassie was supposed to smile in front of her parents, her friends and all the people she knew. 

All her friends used to say how pretty she was, and how a boy would kill anyone to stay in a relationship with her, but guess what? It never happened. 

Everybody was always complimenting her, but nobody ever told her "Listen Cassie, I'm so in love with you" so nothing used to make sense to her.

But this isn't about how she didn't end with her soulmate, this is about how she actually ended up dating her soulmate. This about her red thread.

He broke the silence first, finally meeting my eyes and not staring at his high-tops. "So...", he started and chuckled nervously "Could I get your number?" I stared at him for a second wondering if it would even be a good idea, when he said "I know we don't know each other, but I felt fireworks just now, and even if we don't go on a date, I'd love to see you again."
