He held his hand out as I lightly placed my hand in his, smiling ear to ear as he was a slight bit taller than I was by an inch or two. I stood up and crossed my arms, "Thank you for helping me up."

"It's the least I could do. Hey, what's your name?"

"Megan," I said, "Megan Schmidt. And you?"

"I hate my name," he mumbled, glancing at his running shoes and then back up at me, "You'll probably laugh if I tell ya'."

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad. If it's that bad, be proud that it's something different... and unique."

He sighed, "Ponyboy Curtis."

we could make a statement here in the small town of Tulsa, Oklahoma and say that Greasers nor Soc's can hangout together without a big argument breaking out between the two classes. well, that's not the case. Megan Schmidt is a Soc and Ponyboy Curtis is a Greaser. However, there was a mysterious note in Megan's pocket that led her to think the worse. Is it true? Or is there someone out there that wants to ruin her life? Will they let rumors and arguments get in the way of their friendship? Or will they be something more?

The Outsiders - Slow Down, Darrel (Darry Curtis)

28 parts Complete

Madeline Craft. 19. College freshman. Ex-greaser, or so she thought. When she gets a custody call that her two siblings were seemingly abandoned in their Tulsa home, there's no option: she has to go back. It wasn't ideal, but her little brothers, four-year-old twins Jack and Graham, they needed her more than she needed college. Besides, college would always be there if she could ever go back. But on a cold day, back at her high school job working at The Dingo, she meets someone that makes anything poor become great. All rights to SE Hinton besides my additions :)
