Book 1 in the Aftermath series.
War. Villages destroyed. Bodies littering the ground. Shinobi from all the lands lay defeated. Just bodies, no longer the great warriors they once were. No longer people. There was two more before this. Fighting for what? Power? Money? Freedom? None of that matters if no one is left alive to enjoy the aftermath.
Hisakawa Asa is a strange child. Growing up outside the villages she has travelled across all of the nations. When war starts brewing her master decides it's time to return home to Konoha. With her Sensei being kidnapped along the way she arrives in Konoha and is sent to train under Namakaze Minato for the upcoming Jōnin exams. Armed with determination, an undeniable talent for speed and ninjitsu, and newfound friendship she finds herself tossed in a war. People die and boundaries are pushed. This is her story as she deals with the aftermath of battle with a certain silver haired boy by her side.
Set during the Third Great Ninja War.

I finished the story recently and I left a lot of cliff hangers or gaps in her past and a ending that isn't ideal. If I revise, I will fix that and probably change the end. Years later, his home village is attacked and his mother is murdered before he narrowly escapes with his life. He doesn't remember anything about the attack or his life before it.
