Book 1 in the Aftermath series.
War. Villages destroyed. Bodies littering the ground. Shinobi from all the lands lay defeated. Just bodies, no longer the great warriors they once were. No longer people. There was two more before this. Fighting for what? Power? Money? Freedom? None of that matters if no one is left alive to enjoy the aftermath.
Hisakawa Asa is a strange child. Growing up outside the villages she has travelled across all of the nations. When war starts brewing her master decides it's time to return home to Konoha. With her Sensei being kidnapped along the way she arrives in Konoha and is sent to train under Namakaze Minato for the upcoming Jōnin exams. Armed with determination, an undeniable talent for speed and ninjitsu, and newfound friendship she finds herself tossed in a war. People die and boundaries are pushed. This is her story as she deals with the aftermath of battle with a certain silver haired boy by her side.
Set during the Third Great Ninja War.

Will a certain ANBU change her mind about the Shinobi world, in spite of his own hatred for this life as well? A little more than doomed (Naruto Fanfic) ~completed~
Kiwayo finally escapes. "Somewhere, anywhere is better. I want to be free." Collapsing from exhaustion she is recaptured. By who though? She is taken into the leaf village for questioning. After meeting her the Hokage allows her to be in the ninja academy. The Hokage takes a bet on this little girl will she be an enemy or a great ally? Her only problem isn't just fitting in. Scared and mourning her losses. She meets people the kindness they show her is unknown and comforting compared to her very lonely past. Her adventure begins! I finished the story recently and I left a lot of cliff hangers or gaps in her past and a ending that isn't ideal. If I revise, I will fix that and probably change the end. A ninja must see underneath the underneath
The story starts right after the battle at The Valley of The End where Naruto battled Sasuke right before he joined Orochimaru in order to gain more power. Sasuke pierced Naruto's right shoulder with his Chidori technique. My story deviates from the canon series because Naruto's wound was not immediately healed by the Nine-Tails. Also, Naruto didn't go into his initial junchūriki form, as he refused to use the Nine-Tails chakra. The story starts with Naruto recovering from that fight in the hospital. Afterward, he is sent on a 2-year mission with his sensei Kakashi Hatake. As they travel together, their bonds grow stronger until they eventually learn about each other's true feelings. (Yaoi and violence!) ! - I do not recommend reading this story if you are not familiar with the series. ! - In this story, Naruto starts off as a 17-year-old, not 14 as in the series. !- The story continues until the canon's Pain episodes, so if you haven't seen that yet, there will be spoilers here. !- Yaoi lemon in later chapters. The KakaNaru relationship evolves from teacher/student to friends (bromance) to lovers while they travel together. I started writing this story because I'm a big fan of the Naruto series. However, there have always been two things bothering me. For one, the filler episodes and constant flashbacks of course, and secondly, the lack of relations. For example, Kakashi not caring all too much about Naruto's upbringing even though he is Minato's son. Or the fact that nobody (not even his godfather Jiraiya) adopted Naruto. And don't even get me started on the fact that nobody ever told Naruto anything about his parents, nor did he ever ask... Anyway, the list is long. It's my first time writing fanfiction. Obviously, I do not own Naruto or any other characters from the series/manga. My native language is Dutch, not English, so please try and forgive any spelling mistakes you might find.
