Ever heard of Medusa? Yeah, She's my ancestor. I'm the 4th generation of Medusa's blood line, meaning her soul has now taken on the form of the one I call my own. So we're also kind of each other in a way. Unfortunately though, since Lady Medusa angered the Gods she was destined to be reincarnated and slain over again until the end of time. Every generation of Medusa's reincarnations will be slain just as she was, the cycle never broken.
