At the age of 75, Mogomotsi Moffat from Botswanan was diagnosed with a mass in his gallbladder at a hospital in Botswana. He also had a history of multiple ailments such as diabetes, hypertension and kidney disease. He had undergone multiple gastroenterology surgeries which made his case complicated. The hospital in Botswana lacked the medical expertise and advanced medical technology to diagnosis the cause of the lump in the gall bladder. Mr Moffat underwent a successful supermajor surgery under , Dr Imran Sheikh who is a consultant gastroenterologist , hepatobiliary surgeon and gastric cancer specialist at WOCKAHTRDT HSOPITAL . Dr Sheikh further elaborated that Mr Moffat 's case was completed due to his age and also underlying health factors which could have caused an obstacles in his recovery. Dr Sheikh shared, "Mr. Moffat was 75 years old and underwent a supramajor surgery with complete resection of his gall bladder and some part of the liver, approximately 2 to 3 cm to avoid spread of cancer to the liver . This is the back bone treatment of gall bladder surgery. The blood supply of lymphotomy was also carried out to secure spread of cancer cells. Patient made a full recovery within 5 days after surgery in the ICU and by the tenth day he was discharged.
