Burn to ash

You never cried or complained. I can't remember a time when you didn't have a smile on your face but I knew one thing. That you were afraid. You afraid for other because you are kind and gentle. You were afraid for their softly because you are strong. You were afraid for them because mother had told you, to always be strong and always be gentle. Grow to be kind

But more than anything, I think you were afraid of becoming like father who is sad, angry, and heartbroken. So you promised to mother's grave that you would always save others above yourself. That you would pick the greater good. That you would pick them over me. You told me, that if a day come when he has to decide between me and the world, he would save the world. You told me not to pick you, because you would never pick me but I'd already loved you, from the moment our eyes met across the field. I fell in love with your strength, your kindness, your gentleness, and your dedication because mother had told me, Always smile and always love. Grow to be forgiving.

And so I forgive you
