A girl who has to go through the daily troubles of having an african parent. She tries ever  so hard to meet her parents standards and expectations (her mother in particular), but at no avail. Everything she does just seems to be wrong.You are a useless girl Folake after I came to the UK to get you good education and you are showing me this rubbish, B not even A let alone A*, but mum I'm trying. Trying? Folake trying don't tell me nonsense abeg. She is showered with abuse on a daily, but it doesn't stop her from trying to please her mother, through this the bonded they once had is rekindled. Struggles, hardships and a re-established mother-daughter relationship.
