Soulmates, we're always told we have one but I haven't been so sure I do. I mean I did get my tattoo and it hasn't disappeared yet, meaning they aren't dead. I guess believing in something like that takes a lot of effort. When you first touch your soulmate (Skin to skin contact) your tattoo turns a solid color. That color is the most important color in your life at the moment you touched. In this world, there's a system to tell who your soulmate is. Nobody remembers how it happened but, one day people started getting these tattoos on their right wrist. These tattoos are a basic shape that resembles your soulmate's hair. The shape is filled in completely by the color of your soulmate's hair as well. In the center of the tattoo, there are 1-5 objects. Those objects describe what your soulmate loves to do. The shape of my tattoo always fascinated me but I've never been able to put it into words. My tattoo shape is an upside-down half-circle if instead of the bottom part being flat, it opens and curves outwards. In the center of my tattoo was a volleyball, it always was a volleyball, it's never changed once. You see naturally, people tend to change hobbies, but whoever my soulmate was, they didn't change theirs, I never changed mine either which is fascinating. Everybody has a tattoo; they could be absolutely anywhere on your body. The tattoo begins appearing on the person's sixteenth birthday. Nobody has the same tattoo as they reflected the person's personality. They could be similar, but they are never duplicated. Depending on the person's soulmates mood, the colour of the tattoo changes. When they're mad, it turns a mix of deep red and orange, when they are embarrassed it changes to a bright yellow, when they are upset it turns blue, when they are feeling lonely it turns purple and so on. The only time the tattoo will light up and turn white is when the person and their soulmate are in a thirty foot radius and when you lock eyes with your soulmate, it begins to heat up.
