Torn

Breakout. Apocalypse. Escape the undead. Stay alive. Can you do it?

Rene and Parker are the only ones to escape the first outbreak of the virus that destroys humanity. A virus that replaces the living with creatures that crave human flesh.

They are stuck in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and are in desperate need of resources and shelter. During their journey, they realise how much they truly need each other. They wouldn't have survived this long on their own. They would've lost their sanity if they had.

What happens when they find a shelter where people are willing to help them, but in doing so, forces them to do things they're not comfortable with?

"I don't know where they came from or how they were made, but it all started with the drugs. It remains in their saliva. That's how it is transferred when bitten. It will enter your bloodstream. It will take longer for you to turn because you won't have as much of the drugs inside of you compared to them.
It travels in their bloodstream and veins. And it doesn't leave. It speeds up the heart so much, to the point where the body can't handle it. Then, they pass out. When the person wakes up, their heartbeat will be slower to the point where they are almost dead. Eventually, their hearts will beat once per minute. That is why they don't bleed. It is why they decompose. The drug messes up it's mind to the point where it believes it's dead. And all they feel is hunger."
