How do you survive?
When the bad gets worst, how do you find the good?
I had the perfect life before this all started. I was married, had two sons and a baby girl.
Now all that's left is him. My one hope at staying sane.
But even he is slipping through my fingers.
I do not own Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead or most of the themes of this story. I just had an idea and it's now 60 chapters long. This starts in season 4 and is so far being written into season 9. I have plans to continue writing through season 10 as well.

He's been out hunting with both his brothers. Normally hiding away in the woods until his brothers found him. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most.
