In a Middle Earth where Erebor and Dale still stand, things are occuring deep within the Elven realm of Northern Mirkwood. As soon as two elves leave the touch of the Elven fortress and embark on a journey to escape the grasp of their fellow Elves, sinister things happen within the Mirkwood walls. A new leader is brought to attention and all that leader wants is for the lost Elves to return, at any cost.

This tale unfolds against the backdrop of the War of the Ring, spanning from the era preceding the Battle of the Five Armies to the dawn of the Fourth Age. It starts on a journey to establish the setting, introduce the characters, and delve into the central narrative that revolves around the untimely demise of the Elven Queen and the menacing curse that ensnares the Prince of Mirkwood, along with an unwitting mortal who becomes entangled in this web of intrigue. However, this is merely the inception of our tale. Brace yourself for an enduring adventure filled with interwoven conflicts, the insidious allure of the Ring, and the ever-shifting dynamics among our compelling cast of characters. At its core, this narrative cherishes the essence of adventure shared by the Fellowship of the Ring, emphasizing the bonds of friendship and the depth of love amidst tumultuous times. Central to this saga are Legolas, Xena, Thranduil, Aragorn, Gimli, and Tauriel whose destinies are interwoven with the fate of Middle-earth. Yet, every character plays a pivotal role in this epic journey, contributing shades of complexity to the overarching narrative. While the story initially orbits around these stalwart heroes, it also beckons the presence of pivotal female characters, notably Arwen, whose significance in the grand of events unfolds with grace and power. The narrative remains poised to introduce another essential female figure, whose role is yet to be revealed, enriching the evolving dynamics and depths of the storyline.

The Elvenking is like a very strong, old tree, deeply rooted in the kingdom he pledged himself to protect. He also pledged himself to protect his heart from love, out of fear that it might weaken him, but that proved to be disastrous. Love... what daunting word rubbed in his face by that fearless redhead elleth during the battle in Dale. Is there any love left in him? Follows what happens with Thranduil and Tauriel after BOTFA, during the War of the Ring and further into the 4th Age. Mainly from Thranduil's POV and including canon events that are only briefly mentioned in the books. I try to respect the lore as much as I can. Apart from the romance, I wanted to explore Thranduil's character based on what we know about his life. Feedback and comments are much appreciated :) "His words were unforgiving again, hiding under the same cold tone he had for centuries, yet he could not believe them himself anymore. Tauriel was looking at him, her gaze seemingly piercing through his soul. His dream to restore Mirkwood to Greenwood and his thoughts of avenging his beloved wife were contradicting everything he said. He did not want to care yet every fibre of his being cared too much." "There was something else that Thranduil noticed in Celeborn's eyes: a combination of respect and admiration. 'You are strong, Thranduil. You are like one of the old Mirkwood trees, deeply rooted in the earth, that the centuries cannot wither. I always thought that, no matter what evil lies upon Arda, you will endure.' (Title Doesn't relate to the Arkenstone!) A young girl, whose race is barely known to Middle Earth is put in danger when she, her mother, and many others have to flee their town by order of The Royal Family. Not long into the journey a tragedy occurs, leaving her alone and confused. Questions and problems appear throughout her life, such as - Where is the Key? She's already an outcast amongst those she lives with. What will happen when they have to trust an Outlaw of all people? Will they believe her, or push the girl away? Will her visions help, or be a menace? Would the Dwarves take the help of an Enemy to save their King? And, would she dare to betray them in the end? Last but not least...Is it too late? "What would you do for Thorin? To save his sanity?" I asked them. (2 Quests, not 1.) It is not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit. -J.R.R Tolkien.
