As Elena was reborn, Blade's and Erica's relationship furthers. Blade has had a lot of things happen in his past but after Erica's experiences he is afraid to tell her the truth. Blade has then been experiencing deathly challenges that can change his and Erica's relationship forever. In order to stop the madness, Blade will have to confess. As the weird and deadly challenges come more and more difficult to go through with, Blade isn't sure he will be able to survive the wrath of an unknown object. Elena tries to help Blade because she knows him but Erica gets the wrong idea. This could ruin Blade's relationship with his new girlfriend and Elena's relationship with her twin sister.
Elena and Erica have finally gotten along and are finally going to school with each other. What will people think? Also their parents don't know how things happened, when will the girls spill? Elena has already gone through enough and now Blade is in trouble and Erica seems to be distraught with school. Erica doesn't have her "abilities" any longer so she has been rapidly failing in most of her classes. What will she do when she is so distracted with school she can't even hang out with her boyfriend, Blade.
A lot of secrets are kept and a lot of romance is happening. Blade's 18th birthday is in a few months and Erica wants to do something to celebrate. Elena is still trying to find that Mr. Perfect while Blade is still trying to work up the guts to speak up to Erica. The challenges are faced and the danger is creeping up on them one by one. Are they going to be able to keep up without splitting up?
The past is brought up, the present is tough and only one person knows the future. Romance, action and secrets. What will happen to this beauty, the beast and the mysterious twin?

After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows.
