Author's notes: This is just my take the Spider-Man origin story. Much in the same way the original Spider-Man movie could be Sam Raimi's take on the story or the Spectacular Spider-man TV show could be another, this is my own (hopefully) original take. Also please note that while Dr. Connors appears in the first chapter The Lizard is not the villain in this story. He's really here as an Easter Egg for now. Anyway, without further ado, I present my take on the Spider-Man story.

[GARBAGE STORY] Spiderman or Peter?
At first the story seems like a teenage girl love story, but it changes. Once upon a time there were two teenagers that met, did not quite like each other but they will soon love each other. Peter seems dorky and all secretive, but he is really a thrill riding super hero! Gwen was a popular girl at middle town high and everyone loved her, but she did not want to be popular. At first Gwen was hanging out with Peter so she wouldn't be popular anymore, Peter was hanging out with her because he felt bad for her, then they hang out because they like one another, and that's how it begins. "Who's this?" Spiderman points to an old polaroid on my desk. I glance at it, before going focusing back on Spider's shoulder, "Just a boy I was friends with in high school. He kinda just disappeared after his girlfriend died though." "Oh. Were you close?" I shrugged, the old feeling of bitterness reentering my heart after so many years. "I would have called us best friends, but I guess not close enough for him to want my help." "I'm sure he just didn't want to hurt you." "Whatever, I'm over it." "You still have his picture." "I said I'm over it, Spiderboy! He left, he's not my friend anymore! Not like you won't do the same thing when you leave here tonight. I helped you, and now you have no use for me. Just like Peter." ------ You used to be best friends with Peter Parker. That was until he met Gwen Stacy and fell in love. And when she died due to a freak accident, Peter left you for good. You were on your own now, and you preferred it that way. No one was going to hurt you now, you just had to get through med school and you'd be a-okay. At least so you thought. Exactly five years after the death of Gwen Stacy you find a beaten-up Spiderman laying on your porch. He could barely get out a word before you led him into your apartment and helped him clean up. After that fateful night, Spiderman would pay you almost nightly visits to fix him after his nightly patrols each night. You couldn't help to get close to the masked man. But there was always that underlying fear that he was just using you as your other friends had? Or was there actually a friendship? As the months went on you found yourself falling for the superhero.
