100 Futures: Tales of Possibility
In 1963, American mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenz observed the strange attractor, or the understanding that in complex systems any starting point will have a sensitive dependence on initial conditions. He later described this founding principle of chaos theory as the butterfly effect, in which a very small change in initial conditions leads to significantly altered outcomes If history were started from a single point and run again and again, each time a different future would unfold. These futures may be similar, even eerily close to other futures, but each would be infinitely different. Here are told the stories of 100 such strange futures initiated in the year 2016, at the age of 16 when most first become aware of the wider world and their tiny butterfly like existence in such a huge and stormy life.Complete
The Butterfly Effect | Izuru Kamukura x female reader
The Butterfly effect, also can be connected to the domino effect, is the theory that one slight change in time can change the entire world. It is derived from the metaphor that a butterfly flapping its wings can change the weather from a sunny sky to a horrid storm. At least, that's what I remember learning in class. It caught my eye for some reason and I paid attention even harder than usual. But I never could have predicted that I could cause not one, but many butterfly effects. If I knew I was the one responsible for saving the entire world, I would have killed myself already. But it's too late, I'm hooking on a drug and can't escape it no matter what. Funny thing is, the drug is hooked on me too. Art by edaki14Complete

When you're dead, you're dead, right? Wrong. Marisol can prove that. The Butterfly Effect, otherwise known as The Chaos Theory, is the only logical explanation as to why Marisol envisions different possibilities of her life. Is she really dead if she's living some kind of life, or is this life flashing before her eyes - even if it not the life she exactly left behind?Complete
