Did you ever try to stand up and feel like your heart was racing out of your chest? Get dizzy, then magically feel better when you lie down? Have you seen so many specialists and have been told to lose weight, eat more salt and exercise and still feel like crap? Then this book is for you. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome is a rare chronic illness that effects 70 million people world-wide and is not always recognizable in the medical community. This is my story.

"I don't know what I did to make you hate me, I haven't done anything to warrant how you ignore me! Please, just tell me!" "I'm in love with you, damn it!" He roars. "I love you so much Aphrodite, and you scare me because you are so strong and I don't want to be the one to break you!" * Aphrodite Muerte is hiding something and so is her long term crush Thanatos Amaro. Both are helplessly in love with one another and both have very different approaches on how to hide it. Love makes you do crazy things and with Aphrodite and Thanatos, it's no different. Pretending to hate Aphrodite, Thanatos manages to hide his true feelings which takes a toll on both of them. Thanatos has no idea what he's doing. Past trauma rules over Aphrodite at night causing nightmares and panic during the day. Aphrodite has no idea how to live life outside of pain. Abuse has a way of shaping people, and she's barely mended from being so broken. Both have friends that force them closer but their love might just be the reason why they end up staying together. Afterall, someone can only stay away from the person they're in love with for so long. One argument and a couple of confessions later leaves them on a confusing path that has the opportunity to be beautiful or disastrous. Love is magical but it is also savage. For Aphrodite and Thanatos, they are each other's downfalls and each others saviors. How long they last is up to them. How much they go through to get together is up to fate. In the end, will they make it or will their love end in splinters and heartache? * WARNING: Mature Content (of all sorts). Deen and Paislee Vanilla and chocolate Day and night. Hot and cold Colored | White "You know we could never get married, you just flipped your lid. We would be a closet case." "Why couldn't we get our rings, babydoll?" His green eyes danced with confusion as he stroked my cheek softly. "Because you're white and well, I'm a negro. Everyone knows whites and blacks don't bash, that's just how it goes unless you like death. So marriage, that's-that's an odd ball, Deen." ° ° ° Nothing could go wrong in the busy town of Jackson, Mississippi, for everything was splendid. Absolutely splendid. Except for the occasional riots, or lynching of innocent colored girls, the heads hanged in the city square, or the burning cross' across the street from houses. The ear wrenching screams heard from dark alleys, the glares from men as you walked into "their" diner, going through the back doors at movie theaters, or standing on the bus after a day's long of work. This was all nothing to Paislee Miller, for she was your typical colored girl in the eye of the beholder. Living in Jackson all her life had brought her many things that she wouldn't trade in the world, even the constant racism and hate that flowed through the city's air. That is until she meets Deen Rivera. He was nothing far from perfect if you asked, and everything grand. As Deen and Paislee cross paths many times she starts realizing that her solid heart was starting to open up for this green-eyed, winsome country boy. As for Deen, well he fell in love the minute he casted an eye to her. After that, he couldn't stop seeing her, touching her, loving her. Even if that meant breaking a 'WHITES ONLY' sign, it would all be worth it. Hopefully. . . Catch 22 © 2018 RyChristina

Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. PART ONE: In the heart of the segregated 1900s, a white couple defies society's expectations by adopting two Black boys. Despite their love for each other, tragedy strikes in the form of a devastating car accident-one that alters their reality forever. PART TWO: (Purgatory) Caught in the space between life and death, each family member must navigate a nightmarish landscape filled with terrifying creatures and twisted trials. Their only hope of peace is to reunite and overcome the darkness together. Author's Message The color of our skin should never decide the weight of our worth. Beneath it all, we share the same pulse - one rhythm, one heart, one fragile, beautiful humanity. In a world painted with differences, kindness is the only language that never needs translation. We are all just souls trying to find peace, trying to love, trying to live. I began writing this because the word racism has always struck me like a wound - sharp, heavy, and undeserved. It's a word that carries too much pain for its size. It divides where there should be unity, it hurts where there should be healing. No one should ever feel less than human because of the shade of their skin. My grandmother taught me that love sees beyond color. She never measured people by appearance - only by their hearts. Every child, every adult, she treated with the same warmth, the same respect, the same unwavering truth. From her, I learned that real strength is gentle, and real justice begins with compassion. So I write for her. I write for those who were silenced, for those who have been seen only through the world's narrow lens. I write because love deserves louder voices than hate. And I hope that somewhere within these words, you remember what she taught me - that the heart knows no color, and humanity was never meant to be divided.

An arranged marriage was never what I wanted but it seemed to be what life was dishing out to me, and to make it worse, my husband-to-be preferred women on the ...lighter side. And by the lighter side, I mean lighter side of the scale and skin color. #1Bwwm #2Interracial Book 1 of the Unwanted Series PS: There are typos in this work, mostly because autocorrect always puts in the most ridiculous wrong things and I always miss despite reading them before posting, until I have posted and read over and over again. There's also the issue of timelines that don't add up and wrong names. I'm currently editing it in a new document. I hope it will be better. FP: 2017 C:2019
