The twisting vortex known as the Breach stood high above the heads of the people, ever reminding them of the danger that it brought. Haleir Lavellan wanted nothing to do with this, only going to the Conclave out of the need for his clan and their survival, and now he had a glowing mark embedded in his palm. The mark was the only thing that could stop this, and since more than just his clan were in danger, how could he say no and back out? That didn't mean he had to enjoy being in the limelight. Then something different; another person steps out of a rift much like he did, features covered by a weathered crow's mask. Fractured memories arose to remind the Dalish that they had seen this other individual before, that he had ran through the nightmare scape of the fade with them. He had believed this other person to be a denizen of the fade that took pity and wanted to help, but he was clearly mistaken. More follows after this individual into the realm of Thedas, and things become more dangerous as they start to emerge.

Lavellan, ex-boss of the now disassembled Inquisition, has a lot on her plate. Her homeland of Thedas is losing itself to chaos. The country of Tevinter is starting to lose the war to invaders called Qunari. The Empress of Orlais is losing control of her court. Lavellan knows that this weakness exactly what a certain ex-lover is looking for to start his hostile take over. With no army, a broken heart, and little time, it helps that she found an old prophecy to set her on the right track Meanwhile, Solas, once a member of the Inquisition, is walking down a dark road. When he finds out that Lavellan knows something he doesn't, he'll stop at nothing to retrieve the prophecy and read it for himself. Seeing the love he never wanted to leave is just a very large side benefit. Signed, Varric Tethras, Rogue, Storyteller, and Viscount ***I only own the plot. Everything else is under Copyright by EA.
