This is bad and truly fucked up.
"Why not ?" he asks casually as if I asked what he wanted for breakfast.
"Because it's dangerous. Don't you get it? Everyone we love will suffer the consequences because of our selfish needs," I say breathlessly.
"Listen to me it's always been you and me," he says grabbing ahold of my body and holding it close to his.
I allow myself to get swallowed in his temporary comfort.
I know it won't last but I wanted to savor this moment.
"Forever," I whisper in defeat.
