Ewan MacDougall spends his every evening in the same chair of the same pub, drinking the same swill. He sleeps all day and only finds some semblance of joy when he is blackout drunk. He spends the rest of his time cursing at statues at the Catholic church and performing the magical odd job. Because that's what you do when you're a witch who doesn't pick a side. Until he's approached by someone who needs a bit more than a love potion or an annoying hex to get back at a neighbor.

Rosalind Sawyer is a nobody. She's one of many witches of a quiet, unimportant coven. Or, she was. Now she's the only survivor of a demonic attack. She needs the demon exorcised to free herself, but she can't do it on her own.

What starts as a run of the mill day turns into a treacherous brush with demons and the divine and Ewan is the only person who can navigate those waters. If he can stay sober long enough.

Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
