❝ Aurora neared Patricia's house and felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her. She had spent many afternoons of her childhood building snowmen in the front yard, rollerblading in the driveway and playing dress-up under the magnolia tree. As she walked up the porch steps she felt hesitant to ring the door bell. It felt unnatural showing up without an invitation. What if Patricia didn't live here anymore? What if no one was home? This was silly. Aurora turned back just as the door cracked open.

"Ora?" exclaimed a deep voice.

Something melted inside her when she heard her old nickname. She swiveled to see a mess of dark hair and a wide smile.❞
