"Rose!" He said with tears running down his cheeks.
Oh no.. He knows. He's not supposed to know. I can't do this right in front of him. How did he find out? I start to run towards him and give him a hug.
"James.. Calm down please.." I kiss his forehead and hold him tightly in my arms. His height makes him hard to hold. But I try my best anyways.
"Love, everything will be alright. I promise. Please go home."
"No never.. I-I.. I love you."
I looked into his sincere eyes as he whispers a subtle I love you once again. His cheeks, were pink. Like a cherry blossom in the spring. His eyes fall from mine. He starts to look at the sidewalk covered in snow. I don’t know how long he was holding that in for. But, by the tone of his voice, it had sounded as if it had been forever. I lift his chin and caress the innocence off his cheek. I pull him closer, slowly and softly I press my lips against his. I then release my lips and mumble, “I love you too.”
....And then I woke up.
