Alec had no family or home it wasn't that he had broken the law or did bad in the schools he's been to it was that he was just different and people couldn't understand. he had a hard time fitting in with the family's that he staid with so never really stayed long . Needing a home Alec was given an offer to move to a small town called Driftwood with some other people who needed homes and Alec couldn't give up the offer and agreed to it.
Besides Alec having no home Paola did she was born and grew up in Driftwood causing he own kind of trouble and learning about its darkest secrets that the town keeps hiding in its walls. she has given a name for herself and is never afraid to fight for what she want's but once Alec and his roommates show up in town Paola begins to find and learn that she doesn't know every dark secret in its walls with hers and Alec's gang.
