Clover Clark is quietly struggling to care for her seven-year-old brother and running the town's old library, Cover to Cover. She's not one to complain, but with her father growing angrier with each passing day, she can't help but miss the ones she once depended on. She plans to cope by writing down her worries on paper then shutting it all away in a leather-bound journal. It seemed to be working for her until the journal mistakenly falls into the hands of a regular visitor of Cover to Cover. Typically the young man only showed up to return his books at least a week late but once he is intrigued by the life of the woman he read about in the journal, he's determined to find her and become a part of her life. How will she cope when new challenges arise and will she ever allow him to offer her the help she knows she needs?
