A world in which love is illegal. Merely kissing someone can land you in jail. Sometimes having even a friendship with someone can get you in trouble with the law. Fairy tales are no longer love stories, instead they're one person going through life alone. It's not two lonely people who find each other. It's one lonely person, who gets a well paying job. It's one person frowning upon people breaking the law, frowning upon love.

Macy Turner always was the good girl. Always the one to believe the tales. Never the one to ask what love is, where her parents are. She was always the one to frown at the light in someone's eyes, the light that came after their first kiss with the one they loved. Or at least that's what people saw. I mean, the people taking care of her were the most strict in the system. She'd asked who her parents were, but she was never answered, never heard. She was fighting a smile when she saw true love. She was fight anger, frustration and a frown when they were arrested for the true love.

Axel Herring, with a name like that you'd think he'd be the most wanted guy in school. But no. All the goody two shoes hated him for his parents and what the school had told them. And all the people constantly in detention because of their beliefs in true love, knew he didn't believe in it. He's the one guy who she knows is hated by both sides.

She believes in love, he doesn't. Both of them have been through hurt, she can see his damaged soul, and she wants to know why.

What I got was something different. The beautiful descriptions of the beach town made me feel warm and cozy and kept me reading until these two characters were introduced. I thought their meeting was innocent and sweet, not what I was expecting. It was really good." - CourtneyPeterman0

*(COMPLETED) "The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth." He bit his lip. "I wanted to te-" His eyes began to water and as a single tear fell he looked at me and said "but what if you've been lying for so long you don't know how to tell the truth?" "I have and so will you." He shook his head, shut his eyes, and leaned his forehead against the glass. "And here I was thinking you would admit that you don't tell the truth either." I gripped the telephone as my knuckles turned white. "What do you mean?" "Come on Zoey I've seen you sneaking around acting like you're busy. You're hiding something and you won't tell me." All Zoey Campbell ever wanted to do was keep her head down and get through high school. Too bad it isn't that easy. Zoey is tired of everything and everyone. She is tired of being pushed around and tired of watching in the shadows. She is tired of pretending to like that girl that doesn't even know her name. Tired of pretending that she is ok when she isn't. She is constantly hoping for a better way out thinking she should just disappear. All she wants to do is scream but no matter how loud she screams no one can hear her. Don't worry things just get worse. Everyone thinks she's a "sick" girl and just another suicide case waiting to happen. I mean what kind of girl sits by herself everyday right? Zoey is running out of time and she thinks no one has tried to help her until her "special" speech in class. No one really cares about what she really thinks anyway. It just that feeling of pity. Love can feel empowering. Love can be deadly. It can be the greatest thing to ever happen. It can be the biggest mistake that can't be reversed. It can feel like a dream come true. It can feel like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Love changes people in many ways, from mild to severe, whether it's beneficial or detrimental in anybody's life, no matter if you're lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, or a person who just loves people without a label. How does love change you? ******* It's like your basic high school love story, except it's with adults in their early-mid 20s, and they're either still in college or have graduated from college and have jobs. It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? [Content/Trigger Warnings- the main warnings are scenes of sexual activity, and suicidal talk/attempt, along with mentions of said attempt. Everything else is listed inside the book! Please read the list before reading the book!] [Word count: +140,000 words...I write a lot, but enjoy anyway!]

"Like In Fairytales"

85 parts Complete

[Completed✔] "Like in Fairytales this story has princesses and prince with their endearing passion and eternal love and compassion. People who aren't selfish but kind and think of others. People who are perfect." Well I could say this but then I would be lying. This is not a story about perfectionism but the opposite. Where the characters realize that their is as much horror in the light as there is beauty in the dark. Where they learn the only way you can describe life is that it goes on. That love is not finding a soulmate who tames your wildness but someone who runs wild with you. That the only way out of this labyrinth of life is through it. That it takes more than a pulse, a working pair of lungs and a pumping heart to call a homo sapien a human. It's a journey of people, being pretentious and perfect, to being a hot mess. Life may be safer at the sidelines but the real game is in the playground. .... STARTED ON 18TH JANUARY 2020. ENDED ON 19TH NOVEMBER 2020 ..... It's a new project I shall be working on. The updates may be slow. Sorry. It is kind of a spin off on my 'Cole' Series. That book was supposed to highlight the misadventures but it turned into a Fairytale. Let's find out what it is 'like in Fairytales'.
