Skulduggery Pleasant and his partner, Valkyrie Cain are on a mission. Mainly to stop Damocles Creed from finding the Child of the Faceless Ones. While that mission occurs, China Sorrows needs to be able to control the High Sanctuary, as the Kith are rising, and there are thousands of them.
Of course, Skulduggery and Valkyrie will succeed.... right?
