Little did he expect to face his past and a new threat to the Federation within days of starting the project. Note to readers: This story was written twenty years ago. I revisited it and re-wrote it with a better eye after having published 17 books professionally since then. This is a my love letter to Star Trek that I grew up with. Any similarities to what has come out since then are coincidence. I did not add or change any of the story points or ideas in the re-write. The stories basic points are the same as I wrote them more than two decades ago.

For 10 years Starfleet had given her a mission to travel to other planets and to learn the culture and language of other alien races. After an unfortunate incident on the USS Banbury Commander Kirk is reassigned to the USS Enterprise where she is reunited with 2 men she thought she'd never see again.
