Nico and Leo have been best friends ever since Nico was first brought to the orphanage. Both the boys had painful backgrounds. Nico lost his mother and sister in a car crash. Leo lost his mother in a destructive fire.They both were scarred, they both were scared and they both were constantly bullied by the other kids, in the orphanage.
This only brought the two closer together which formed an unbreakable bond. Leo would protect Nico from the bullies, and Nico would try to prevent Leo from getting into trouble. Even though they both trusted each other blindly, Nico still had a dark secret which Leo was determined to find out. All of these things took a magical turn when an owl landed on their windowsill, carrying a letter.
