A cursed Princess, a dangerous maze, and one young woman who needs to get back.

When rough-sleeping Penelope stumbles upon a talking rosebush while searching for someone to sleep, she believes she's hallucinating. Then again, she's tired and hungry, and nothing can happen when it's just an hallucination, right?

A modern twist on a classic fairy tale.

A NaNoWriMo 2019 project updated every Sunday throughout November (and one final update will be on 1st December 2019). A daily word count goal is 2,000 words, however, the final word count goal is 50,000 so not everyday needs to reach that. I hope you all enjoy!

Kilan is on the run. From men he knows all too well in a forest he does not know well enough. And running into that tree didn't help. But when he wakes up, the forests are the least of his concerns. Kilan finds he has stumbled upon a castle, hidden deep in the woods, filled with servants and young masters who feel like they might just be more then they seem. And there are the thorns. Thousands upon thousands of thorns that cover the grounds and yet only cover one tower - why? And what about the dreams? The girl in the rose room? She seems so real, almost familiar, and yet he can only see her when he sleeps within the castle walls. She isn't there and he has not the time for a Sleeping Beauty. He has other things to contend himself with, in reality - in the waking world. His most prized possession is gone. A story book that means the world to him is lost within the forests - or worse, someone has their hands on it. Above all, it must be found, he has no time for a girl in dreams and the curse placed upon her - he writes fairy tales, he does not live them. He must find the book and be away from the strange Rose Castle. But someone has already noted his presence and has taken an interest in him. An interest one would not wish for. ~~~~~~ (Please Note: These books link but it is NOT ESSENTIAL that you read them in order - they stand alone as well as link together) The Rose Quartet Reading Order: Beauty and The Beast: http://w.tt/1wczujq Sleeping Beauty The Frog Prince: http://w.tt/1KphNHL Little Red Riding Hood: http://w.tt/1PBaNbs ~~~~ Cover picture by: Selene Regener Check them out: http://selenada.deviantart.com/

If I Know You

For hundreds of years, the fae have been capturing young royals, trapping them in sleeping curses where they wait for a true love's kiss that never comes. Prince Roran of Ki's dream of a solitary, food-filled future is squashed the day the gods declare that he's destined to wake Princess Phillipa of Marden. Their families are elated at the prospect of both of their hopeless children getting a happy ending, but Rory has two not-great problems. First, it's going to be difficult to fall in true love with someone who's stuck in a permanent sleep. And secondly, he has no interest in kissing anyone. Between the sweaty wizards, a Fairy Godmother who gets their advice from Wikihow, and his own asexuality, Rory only knows one thing: this is going to be a mess. (NaNoWriMo 2019 Project.
