Jamie is just trying to go through life as easily as he possibly can, but him being gay wasn't entirely helping him at his high school. He used to be happy there, he had a boyfriend, friends, but that all changed in one day.
His parents love him and would do anything for him. They support him and he's lucky that he's has them. He just doesn't tell them what's going on at school.
But this isn't about that.
When he finally opens up about it his parents helped. They moved. Switched schools. Jamie was starting to be happy, but he still had trust issues from previous events. When he's finally accepted what happens when a certain Mr. Parker introduces himself.

This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. Their paths cross again seven years later, at the age of 24, 25 for Saint because he has already turned 25, with both of them working as bodyguards. Shin is assigned to protect an influential political figure, and the reason why he chose this path is actually to find out what really happened to his mother, involved in the explosion of a shopping mall, which also caused the death of other people. He doesn't believe that it was an accident. While Saint works as a bodyguard for a famous actor who actually has a double life and is investigating the incident at the mall. Saint and Shin, without realizing it, will find themselves fighting with the same goal: to find out what really happened that day at the mall.
