Cliff Haines is not going anywhere or doing anything all that exciting. For the most part he is content to live set apart from the rest of society in the lonely frontier logging town of Warbly located in the wilds of British Columbia. That all changes one day when trouble crashes into town in the form of something simply irresistible and impossible not to be desired. Join Cliff and see the world from his perspective as his life suddenly becomes turned upside down by a girl who has nothing better to do than to hunt him down. - Man on Fire is the story of a righteous man suddenly put in a predicament of wanting something he knows is not good for him. Arwana Collins is beautiful, wild, and worst of all confident. When she looks at him he knows exactly what she's thinking. Life for her has been a series of lovers one after the next and he's her target of the moment. The problem for her is he isn't a man who wants to be used. He wants her, but he wants her to be his, forever. It's a commitment she's never made to a man, but then he's like no other man she's ever met. He's a complete stud, but the outward side of him is no match for who he is inside. Unlike most he's not ruled by what's in his pants. He resists her where none have before and it leads her to see that maybe just something is wrong with her. How could it not be, when the heaven of his arms beckons like a promise of untold passion. He wants her body, but he cares for her soul. What kind of man was like that anymore?

**Be aware that this is a manXman story so if that bothers you then please don't read! 5th in Breaking Series. There are certain things that make a man a man in late 1870's Texas. Being able to rope, ride and handle cattle to name a few. Shooting from the hip, playing poker and throwing back whiskey never hurt either. Nick could do all those things but none of that would matter if anyone knew the truth about him-if anyone knew his secret. So to protect that secret, Nick keeps to himself as he works on the ranch at Atkinson Spread. He likes his job and the bosses are decent but Nick is lonely. Covered in scars, both of the physical and emotional variety, he longs for one person he can truly be himself around. That one person he can love. Aiden is running. He's been running since his family realized what he was, called him an abomination and cursed him to death. Bakerstown Texas is where his legs and his will to run finally give out. Somehow he finds himself hired on to work at Atkinson spread though he knows nothing about cattle. He has already resigned himself to a life alone but that thought goes out the window when he lays his eyes on a ranch hand named Nick. Even then, Aiden knows he can't have Nick. Nick doesn't seem to suffer from the same condition that Aiden was born with and so there's not a lot Aiden can do about his attraction to the other man. Until a night at the saloon goes a bit too far...... Can these two men be together or will their secret be found out and their disease dealt with the frontier way?

Don't finish that sentence Greyson, you know exactly why I can't just let you back into my life again." --- Almost five years ago, Bridget Carter abruptly left her hometown of Woodland. Bridget made a new life for herself and is finally living out her dreams as an investigative journalist and is happily avoiding her past. All seems well until she is called to investigate a recent murder in her home town. What she doesn't know is that she will be forced to work with Woodland's best investigative journalist-Greyson James. Who happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Bridget is hiding huge secrets from her old friend and the feelings she's locked inside herself are dangerously close to resurfacing. Will she be strong enough to resist Greyson's pull on her even after all these years? And will she be ready to face her past and ask herself whether or not she made the right choice in leaving? A/N: FYI this was originally a fanfiction (the original version is still on my profile) this is just a revised, rewritten version with characters that are completely my own.
