Originals fanfiction, doesn't follow storyline to -T-no copyright infringment intended, takes place in season 2

Time has passed, and Niklaus Mikaelson is in New Orleans fighting in a war against his own family. Allies grow scarce, and true hope is spread thinly for Klaus. That is until Naya walks into the French Quarter, a mage with complicated past, but strangely one of the rare few he trusts. However, she doesn't come alone, and complications arise as Esther wants Naya dead, and Naya's magic seems to be backfiring on her.

Jealousy, strife, love and war, Klaus and Naya battle all odds and their true feelings for each other, but one thing remains clear, even for Naya...they will do what they must to protect those they love.

And Klaus is enraptured with a single question. Naya may have forgiven him, but can the evil he had caused her so many years back be forgotten?
