Alice Clark spent her entire childhood in an orphanage. She never knew her parents or where she came from. All she knew was that she was different than the normal child. She could do things and hear things that wasn't normal. 

One day at work, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr come to her and ask for her help. She gives in as she finds people like her and she joins a group called the X-Men and finds a family with them. 

There she meets a mutant by the name of Hank McCoy who drives her heart mad and she falls in love with him.
