Matt O’Dearick is mostly your run-of-the-mill Chicago police officer. Every day of his life is the same predictable day, the day before was the same as today and the next day. A boring lifestyle, a boring job most of the times, and a boring future to sum it all up. That is how his life has been, is, and will be until his last breath. If not for the occurrence of the Incident When a natural disaster strikes, Matt is forced into a chaotic world without government to organize it and keep it under their grasp. He must use every skill he has and more to survive as anarchists rip apart anything and anyone for what they desire, murderers running rampant with nobody to keep them in prison or to take action, and nature itself threatening to push mankind to its end. Yet, what Matt must strive to survive at all costs is the temptations of a country without order. He must choose whether to take the dreaded path of a hero, and assert order once again at all costs or to go with the flow, following the rest of the populace of America into chaos and embracing it. Will he fall to this modern wasteland or will he prevail yet?
