Petalkit is constantly haunted by the most vivid memory she has from her kithood. It reminds her that she still owes so much to her mother.  She will do anything for her. But one day, she decides to go too far. Will she continue in her mother's blood-stained paw steps- down a torturous, lonely path to catastrophe, or will she realise what she's doing before it's too late?

Mapleshade lied and murdered to keep her kits in a safe and loving clan, but now they've cast her out. She seeks help from Riverclan, only to have something awful happen to her. Now she's manipulated and trained her kits to do her dirty business for her. 
She's returned, and ready to watch the chaos unfold.
Vengeance will be hers at last.
