Nothing ever seems to go right for Meredith. Her parents constantly fought, both physically and verbally. She was always dragged into it as was he older brother, Casey. At eight years old, Meredith's parents split apart and her mother took Casey while her father kept her. Meredith soon became friends with the boy who lived next door, Percy. For years he was the only reason for her smile. But; everything changed when he entered middle school. He was starting to ignore her and her problems until one day he made a fool of her, acting as if he didn't have a clue as to who she was. He had dropped her in exchange for popularity. He moved away his sophomore year and is now back for senior. What will happen? Will it be more pranks, tears and heartache? Or will the two make up?
