This story is a continuation of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. John Connor, Sarah Connor, and The T-800 destroyed Cyberdyne Systems and The T-1000 and also destroyed the remains of the First Terminator and helped The T-800 into the molten steel. Sarah and John drive back out into the midnight street and Sarah would say (narrated) The unknown future rolls toward us, I face it for the first time with a sense of hope because of a machine. A Terminator can learn the value of human life maybe we can too. but she was wrong the future did not change at all and other terminators got sent back in time to kill John to stop him before judgement day happened and John sent back resistance fighters and a reprogrammed T-800 back in time to protect John from the terminators after him and ensure his survival.
