Emily and Zan find themselves moving across the Atlantic and away from home due to the fact that both their fathers have attained jobs in London. The girls both decide to attend Hogwarts since there are no jobs available for such young witches in Europe. When they are placed in Slytherin, everyone believes them to be mean and wicked like the rest but they prove them wrong. The sarcastic and quick-witted personalities of these girls help them become admired and loved and even grab the attention of a couple of certain Gryffindors. After some time, many start to wonder if maybe it's possible for a Slytherin and Gryffindor to fall in love, when it seemed forbidden for so long.
