You liked to think you were normal - You went to school like a normal person, trained a Pokémon like a normal person, you had friends like a normal person. You were content, if a little bored with your life. Stories of Pokémon trainers rising to the challenge to defeat evildoers and coming out on the other side with some sort've legendary, never before seen Pokémon as their new bestie, you kind've wished that could be you one day.

However, little you was a naïve little idiot. If you really thought about it, it sounded like it would be annoying to do something like that. Trekking through the wild fighting Pokémon day in and day out sounded tiring, and you'd rather be curled up at home with your frogadier right beside you.

But really? People in stories don't get choices, and neither shall you.

When your good friend Tim gets a letter about settling his late father's affairs, you're also somehow dragged along with him because apparently, one thing you both had in common was disappearing father's that required your attention.

And perhaps you'll get your wish of a legendary Pokémon?
