"Yes, you see, I've heard rumors about you... I've heard about you and your... vocal talent... I would like you to show me,"
"Rig-right now?"
"And other times too. If you sing when I tell you, in front of the people I want you to sing to, your parents will stay alive and you will even be able to visit them,"

"So, Virgil?"
Virgil gave up his freedom years ago. He and his parents continued living in exchange for singing (among... other things) for the King. He doesn't regret it. That is until three visiting royals turn his world upside down and, for this first time since he was 10, he suddenly wants something other than for his parents to stay alive. Virgil doesn't understand and, neither do the others but, love is not meant to be easy and Virgil, he's learned that the hard way.

Bad Rumors
Rumors spread like wildfire. Maybe that's why Dee took stock of them like currency. Rumors... Secrets... Just information in general, It'll get you far with him. He's a broker of sorts. And he always keeps his family in the know. Maybe that's why Virgil grew up so anxious. No... No, the real reason was he was anxiety. As a dark side, he was bound to get a bad rep. After all, the lights sides fought so damn hard to make there purfect square light and good, while the rest were made to suffer. Guess that's where the rumors started. Virgil always took them to heart. Even if they were obviously false, it was better to be safe than sorry. He remembered each and every one and believed them all... except for one. 'Looking for quiet roommate.' 'Located in quiet area.' 'Apartment has previously received noise complaints.' Virgil groaned and tossed his phone onto his bed, burying his face in his hands. He just needed an apartment that would be okay with his job. Trying to keep to his price range and find what he needed was proving to be so much harder than he thought it would. This would be his first time moving somewhere that he didn't know the owners of the place beforehand. "Welcome to YouTube life, idiot." Virgil grumbled to himself. He picked up his phone again, going to close out of the app he was using, but suddenly a line on one that he hadn't looked at caught his eye. 'Must be willing to allow for eccentric work ethics and schedules, as owner of the apartment works independently online.' Virgil tapped on the listing and began to read. 'Four bedroom apartment, looking for up to three roommates. Apartments beneath and above are both empty at the moment, noise is not a problem so long as residents are courteous. Preferred that applicants are male.' Virgil stared at the listing. This was so... so perfect. He closed the app and tapped his messenger app. 'Hey Pat, I think I found something.' Disclaimer: I just reread A Lesson in Practicality by @residentanchor, so there might be some things ever so slightly similar to that, but if there are I am not doing it on purpose and I apologize. The House Across The Street *COMPLETED*
Logan and Patton are the parents of the adopted 3 year old twins Remus and Roman. Dean (Deceit) is a single father of adopted 3 year old Virgil, who just moved in to the house across the street. Virgil, though only 3, deals with extreme anxiety, he's a slow learner so he doesn't talk very much and rarely, if not ever, leaves Dean's side and has developed trust issues and PTSD due to the incident that caused them to move in the first place. Unfortunately due to the new circumstances, Dean now has to work so that they can afford to live and is unable to afford for Virgil to go to daycare. Since Patton is a stay at home dad and was very friendly the first time meeting, Dean puts Virgil in his care also hoping that it will help Virgil with his social skills and being around other kids his age.
