100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. A serial killer and a Hero. Playing a game of cat and mouse while wreaking havoc. Which will outsmart the other? What will be revealed as they get closer and learn more about each other? "Reality is whatever I want." "We'll see." This story uses Marvel's idea of infinity stones, but they're more prevalent. Everyone has at least one. I have an external link at the bottom of most of the chapters that leads to a Google Doc that explains the world. Please let me know if it works. Since Wattpad has an age of consent in their guidelines, I will have the explicit scenes on AO3 and not on here. If scenes like that make you uncomfortable, this will be the version without any of that. If you're curious, I don't use any of the more graphic words, this kind of thing makes me a bit uncomfortable so I wrote it in a way that didn't make me feel weird. Either way, you read whichever version you like. The Wattpad version will allude to some of those scenes however because some are quite important. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. A teen girl, pitch black hair, black eyes, white skin. Her height is 5'8. People are scared of her, not just because of her strength but because of they way she kills. She lived in this hell hole, where they take her to rooms. Examine. Fight. She knows she won't be able to entertain them for long. She decides to run. Soul. Brown hair as mud, blue eyes as the sky. Hight 6'2. Tanned and toned body. Death's best friend in the hell hole they're in, he's as cold as she is. But shows a bit of sympathy. Well... More than her at least. No one really knew how X's came to be. One day there weren't any, the next day half the population was wiped out. All Karma knew was that they are technological monsters, fit to be the world's biggest weapon, after the splitting particle ray which could reduce any person into air particles in a millisecond. Karma realised how simple it would be to destroy an army even with one X. They were practically indestructible, perfect killing machines, only they'd turned on the government, apparently. Or maybe those bastards had escaped perfectly unharmed, watching how the country was being destroyed. Maybe it was an excuse for overpopulation. xx-xx Karma has been trying to survive for over a year, but it's difficult when X's, mechanical killing machines, roam the streets, hungry for human flesh. Every day that passes by without finding a portal brings the morale lower. They need to escape the country before they all end up dead. It doesn't help that the X's have changed their tactics and are now manipulating people to commit suicide. The death rate keeps increasing, and Karma has to find out what family means, and to what extremes she would go to save the ones she loves.

Almost the exact same concept with the guys but they stay in an apartment rather than moving to a bigger house, so they're living in a somewhat cramped apartment, mostly staying human in case something happens. . . Finding an extraterrestrial entity in your trash can is definitely something happening. The Y/n is going to be the wrongdoer conflicting most of the actions listed in the warnings above. But it is to be expected, they are an alien and don't understand a lot of things but also don't really care about it. They are curious but mostly focused on finding non-human entites and connecting with them for research. Which makes them not exactly interested in Lunar until they see what he really is, then they practically become obsessed with him and tries to figure out how he works by poking him, trying to listen to his mechanics inside of him, asking odd questions, etc. But the poor precious guy sees these as signs of interest and tries to be a good potential lover by doing a bunch of little jobs for them. Lunar also shows them a few earth things, treats and places as sort of various little dates, shows them a bunch of stuff because of their obsession with research, etc. only to end up being emotionally ignored by the oblivious Alien and left behind a couple times, which definitely gets to his feelers a lot :(
