Thousands of years ago, there was a young princess named Elise with her three younger sisters and her parents, Salem and Ozma. They seemed like a happy family one day, but then everything changed the next.
When her father Ozma tried to escape with Elise and her sisters, Salem discovered this treachery and fought Ozma. Elise's sisters were caught in the crossfire and the eldest daughter was forever traumatized after she escaped by herself. This trauma made her an repress all of her emotions as she tried to comprehend what happened to her and her sisters. As a result, she became a cold and nearly emotionless woman as she grew up in the care of her family's old allies, the Haraldsen royal family of Monarchia, who adopted her and raised her as their own. But though she cared for her new family, a trait inherited from her mother gave her more pain as she watched her adoptive family wither and die to age while she remained a young woman. She was biologically immortal and she also possessed magic.
Elise, now Queen of the United Kingdom of Mimar, Monarchia's successor state, wages war against Salem to protect Remnant from being enslaved or destroyed by the witch. And she's turned into an avid manipulator as well, must run in the family.

But there is a legend that said: people with silver eyes were able to use magic. People were frightened of them and called them witches. Whenever they captured a 'witch' people burned them, so now there are no one left with silver eyes. In the kingdom of Atlas, ruled by its king, there are lots of criminals that knights can't get rid of. But one day a boy, or at least everyone thought that he was a boy, appeared out of nowhere. He wore a red cloak with hood that covered his face completely and had a giant scythe as a weapon. He called himself 'Red reaper' and was fighting against all the criminals. And there was 16 years old Weiss Schnee, second princess of Atlas. To tell you the truth she wasn't a scared little princess waiting for her prince in shining armor to save her, like in fairy tales.
