Joana Archer, more commonly known as Joey, is a greaser with a love of movies, girls, and old books, among other things. She's sworn off dating, since it usually ends in disaster for her, until Cherry Valance walks into her life entirely by accident.
Cherry Valance is a soc girl who wants absolutely nothing to do with Joey. She is definitely not into girls. Between her parents, her alcoholic boyfriend, and Joey herself, she's got plenty of problems of her own.
