Have you ever wished to be someone that you were not?

Have you ever tried so hard to fit it? Only to be shunned out anyways?

Ji Ah is a girl, different from everyone else around her, her skin was brown, her hair coily and curly. She stood out like a sore thumb, she was adopted by a loving Korean woman named Hyun-Ae, a kind soul who could not bear children. She found Ji at a young age up for adoption, she couldn't bear to think of the poor baby going to a bad home, so she swooped her up, renamed her and loved as her own.
Ji Ah, however, didn't ask for this, she wished she could look like her mother, she wanted to look like the rest of her friends. She would give anything to look like, and fit in like those around her.
While out at the market with her friends, she was offered a doll by an elderly woman. One that could make her dreams come true, one that looked just like her. 

All she had to do, was weave the red string.

Yours was quite diverse depending on how you or your soulmate were feeling, you could feel each others heartbeats when you touched the necklace or on more rare occasions you could hear each other's voices.
