Soliloquy of a Broken Heart

My heart had never been so torn, so pulled apart by its core like this moment.

This one moment.

I stare at the love of my life telling me lies, serenading my ears with words dripping with the black ink of deceit and self preservation.

My words quivered as my heart leapt through my mouth and took the reins of my voice.
